Short Track Dirt
Goodyear's expanding dirt track program will reach new levels in 2005. The tiremaker has designed a new line of tires, joined new sanctioning bodies as the exclusive tire supplier, and has welcomed more tracks into the Goodyear racing family.
At the heart of the program is a stack of newly created tire lines. Goodyear's race development team designed the new products that include new molds and tread patterns. All will display Goodyear's distinctive yellow lettering and all will be built in the company's Akron, Ohio, Technical Center Manufacturing plant.
The Goodyear dirt program includes the full spectrum of dirt race cars, from high-powered, touring late model series where tire companies compete with intensity, to entry-level classes at race tracks across the continent.
To Promoters/Owners/Series Officials:
Please take note that production of the Goodyear X400 compound has been halted. The new Goodyear replacement compound is G50. We appreciate all of the effort in this transition period as racers electing to run Goodyear tires begin to race on G50 compounded tires.
